Without volunteers donating their time, the SML Charity Home Tour would not be possible and eight local charities would not benefit.  You are important to us!  If you are interested in volunteering we welcome you and invite you to join us in this worthwhile endeavor.

Click the link below and enter your name, address, phone number and email address.  Press "Add" after you have entered your information. A member of our volunteer team will give you a call to discuss the most convenient home and shift for you. Help is needed inside each home, on the dock, or directing traffic during five shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday:

Friday Oct. 11          morning (9:15am - 1:30pm) or afternoon (12:45pm - 5:00pm)

Saturday Oct. 12       morning (9:15am - 1:30pm) or afternoon (12:45pm - 5:00pm)

Sunday Oct. 13         afternoon (12:30pm  to 5:00pm)

 Please note that you must be 18 years or older to work for the Home Tour.

The Home Tour is an all volunteer event raising money for eight local charities.  We retain records of volunteers who have worked in one of the homes on the tour for the past three years.  Since our computer records are built around each person’s phone number we face a difficult problem.  If you have changed phone numbers during the past three years for any reason (eliminated landline, changed cell phone numbers, etc.) we have lost you.  If you are new to the area, we do not know about you.

 If you would like to volunteer, get more information about volunteering at one of the homes or to simply update our records, please call the Smith Mountain Lake telephone number which is 540-297-8687.  Press #1 to volunteer.  Please leave your name and phone number.  A member of our calling team will call you in a few days to discuss whether you would like to volunteer in one of the 8 beautiful homes in October.  Please also call if you are just updating our records.  You may also send an e-mail through the web site, by going to the "Contact Us" page in the left menu.
