Please note that the addresses given in the Laker Weekly last week for the Trotter Home and the Pollock home were incorrect. The addresses below are correct. Also please note that the Chisholm Home and Tanner Home addresses are are combined below.
Directions begin at Hales Ford Bridge, but other starting points may be used. Homes can be visited in any order. There will be parking volunteers at each home; notify them if handicapped assistance is needed. Orange and black direction signs have been placed at all turns, but signs sometimes disappear. Consult these directions if unsure.
1. DeLooper/Johnson home, 112 Needlewood Dr., Huddleston. From Hales Ford Bridge, drive north on Rt. 122 (toward Bedford) 3.9 miles to Rt. 608 (White House Rd.). Turn R onto Rt. 608; drive 6.1 miles to Rt. 626 (SML Parkway). Turn R onto Rt. 626; drive 3 miles to Rt. 656 (Planters Dr.). Turn R onto Rt. 656; drive .6 miles to Needlewood Dr. Turn L onto Needlewood; drive .1 miles to house on L.
2. Erler home, 109 Bay Terrace, Huddleston. Return to Planters Dr. Turn R; drive .6 miles to Rt. 626. Turn L; drive 2.9 miles to Rt. 608 (Tolers Ferry Rd.). Turn R; drive 4.2 miles to Cedar Key Lane (at Cedar Key sign). Turn R and drive 1.1 miles to Bay Terrace. Turn R and drive to 4th house on R.
3. Pollock home, 1230 Dudley Amos Rd., Moneta. Return to Cedar Key Ln. Turn L and drive 1.1 miles to Rt. 608. Turn L; drive 4.2 miles to Rt. 626 (SML Parkway). Turn R on 626; drive .2 miles to Rt. 608 (White House Rd.,just past BP station). Turn L and drive 6.1 miles to Rt. 122. Turn L onto Rt. 122; drive 7.5 miles to light at Rt. 616 (Scruggs Rd.). Turn L onto 616; drive 5.8 miles to Rt. 601 (Dudley Amos Rd.) at sign for Waterford. Turn R onto 601; drive 1.2 miles to house on right.
4-5. Chisholm home, 424 Baywood Dr., and Tanner home, 425 Baywood Dr., Moneta. Homes are next door to each other. Park once to visit both. Return to Rt. 616 (Scruggs Rd.). Turn R; drive .2 miles to Baywood Dr. (opposite Crazy Horse Marina). Turn L on Baywood and drive to homes at end.
6. Trotter home, 98 Atlantic Ave., Moneta. Return to Rt. 616 and turn R. Drive 1.2 miles to Bluewater Dr. (at Exxon) and turn R; drive 1.1 miles to Saunders Farm Rd. (at Winding Waters sign). Turn R; drive .3 miles to end at Rt. 1291. Turn R; drive .4 m. to Parkway Ave. (at Montego Bay sign). Turn L onto Parkway Ave.; drive .4 miles to Vermont Ave. (just past Park Place sign). Turn R onto Vermont; drive .2 miles to Atlantic Ave. Turn R onto Atlantic Ave.; drive .1 mile to house on R.
7. Bordeaux home, 210 Twin Chimneys Dr., Wirtz. Return to Vermont Ave. Turn L; drive .2 m. to end at Parkway Ave. Turn L onto Parkway Ave.; drive .4 m. to Rt. 1291; drive .4 m. to Saunders Farm Rd. Turn L; drive .3 m. to Bluewater Dr. Turn L onto Bluewater; drive 1.1 m. to Rt. 616 (Scruggs Rd.). Turn R onto Rt. 616; drive 1.7 m. to Rt. 833 (Lovely Valley Rd.). Turn L on Rt. 833 (which becomes Rt. 668); drive 2.5 m. to Rt. 670 (Burnt Chimney Rd.). Turn L onto 670; drive 2.1 m. to Twin Chimneys Dr. Turn R onto Twin Chimneys; drive .2 m. to house on R.
8. Fikse, 210 Low Country Dr., Penhook. Return to Rt. 670 (Burnt Chimney Rd.). Turn L; drive 4.6 m. to Rt. 834 (Brooks Mill Rd.). Turn L on 834; drive 7.8 m. to end at Rt. 40. Turn L on Rt. 40; drive 6.1 miles to Rt. 645 (Old Mountain Rd.) on L, just past Dairy Queen sign. Turn L on Rt. 645; drive 1.5 m. to end at Rt. 626 (Smith Mtn. Rd.). Follow signs to Waters Edge. Turn L on Rt. 626; rive .5 m. to Rt. 610 (Waters Edge Dr.) Turn L onto 610; drive 1.7 m. to Morgans Mill Dr. Turn R; drive .3 m. to Low Country Dr. Turn L. House is on R, at end.
To return to Hales Ford Bridge, return to Rt. 40 and turn R. Drive 6.1 m. to Rt. 834 and turn R. Take 834 to end at Rt. 616 (approx. 10 miles). Turn L and drive to end at Rt. 122. Turn R onto Rt. 122 and drive north to bridge.
